Levr Browser Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 October 2026. This policy covers the Levr Browser extension for Chrome and other Chromium browsers, both the public Chrome Web Store item and the private Beta item. It is published at levr.one/privacy/levr-browser.
Levr Browser is a Chrome extension by BitModern, Inc., the makers of Levr. It lets the AI agents you use with your Levr workspace work in the browser tabs you share with them.
What the extension handles
- Your Levr sign-in. OAuth access and refresh tokens for your Levr account, and a device identifier the extension uses to reconnect. They are kept in the extension's local storage on your device.
- Screenshots and screencasts. Images of a page, taken when an agent you connected asks for one.
- Page content, captured on request. The text, structure, console messages and network requests of a page, read when an agent asks for them.
- Files you upload. Only files in the uploads folder you choose in Settings, and only when an agent asks to upload one to a page.
- Your settings. The Levr environment you chose, your uploads folder, developer mode and Stop all. These stay on your device.
The extension reads pages only in the tabs of the "Levr" tab group (tabs an agent opened, or tabs you moved into the group), and only when an agent you connected asks it to. It does not read your other tabs, your browsing history or your bookmarks, and it collects no analytics.
Where it goes
Everything above is sent only to the Levr environment you signed in to: by default Levr (https://api.levr.one and its browser gateway), or another Levr server you added yourself in developer mode. Screenshots and screencasts may instead be uploaded directly to that environment's file storage, which Levr hosts on Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3), through a short-lived upload link the Levr server issues. From there it reaches only the agents connected to your own Levr workspace.
- Screenshots and screencasts are stored in your Levr workspace. A capture an agent files on an issue, test or test result is kept with it. A capture that is not filed is deleted after your capture retention setting (default: one hour).
- Page content, console and network data are returned to the agent that asked for them and are not stored by the extension.
- Your settings never leave your device. Your tokens are sent only to Levr, to authenticate you.
Your workspace data in Levr is governed by the Levr Privacy Policy, which also describes how to delete it.
What it does not do
- It does not sell your data or share it with third parties, and it does not use it for advertising or for any purpose other than the extension's single purpose: letting your agents work in the tabs you share with them.
- It does not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
- It executes no remote code. All of the extension's code ships in the package. An agent can run JavaScript inside a web page in the Levr tab group (as the browser's DevTools console does); that code runs in the page, never in the extension.
Your control
- Stop all in the side panel stops every agent at once. Agents cannot resume it; only you can.
- Remove a tab from the "Levr" tab group to take it away from agents.
- Sign out in the side panel to delete the tokens from your device. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your device.
